By accessing or using this website, purchasing a course, or participating in any services offered by Segment Global LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this website.

Your access to and use of this website, Segment Academy, and any related websites, digital products, online courses, communities, downloads, or services operated by Segment Global LLC (collectively, the "Site") are subject to these Terms & Conditions and all applicable laws.

1. Eligibility

Our courses are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old.

If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must purchase the course on your behalf and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Intellectual Property

All content available through Segment Academy, including but not limited to videos, lessons, downloadable files, STL files, CAD templates, PDF guides, graphics, text, logos, images, worksheets, checklists, software demonstrations, and other educational materials ("Content"), is the exclusive property of Segment Global LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Content solely for your own personal educational purposes.

You may not:

Copy or reproduce course materials.

Redistribute or resell any Content.

Upload lessons to file-sharing websites.

Share your account with others.

Use any course materials for commercial training purposes.

Modify or create derivative educational products from our Content without written permission.

Unauthorized use may result in immediate termination of your access and legal action where appropriate.

3. Ownership of Your Designs

Any original models, segmented designs, CAD files, printed objects, or creative works that you personally create while taking this course remain your intellectual property.

Segment Global LLC claims no ownership over your original creations.

However, the educational content, workflows, templates, downloadable resources, and instructional materials provided within the course remain the exclusive property of Segment Global LLC.

All trademarks, logos, branding, course names, graphics, and other identifying materials used on the Site, including but not limited to:

Nothing contained on this Site grants any license or right to use our trademarks without our prior written permission.

5. What You Are Purchasing

Beyond the Plate is a digital educational course.

This is not a physical product.

Upon purchase, you receive access to online video lessons, downloadable resources, templates, project files, and future updates that we choose to include.

Unless otherwise stated, your purchase includes lifetime access to the course for as long as Segment Academy continues to host and maintain the course.

6. Account Access

Your account is for your personal use only.

You agree not to:

Share your login credentials.

Allow multiple users to access one account.

Resell course access.

Copy or distribute course videos.

Violation of this policy may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account without refund.

7. Payments

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars.

Payments are securely processed through trusted third-party payment providers such as Stripe and/or PayPal.

By submitting payment, you authorize the applicable payment processor to charge your selected payment method.

Prices may change at any time without notice, but changes will not affect purchases already completed.

8. Community Guidelines

If your purchase includes access to the Segment Academy Community, you agree to maintain a respectful and professional environment.

Members may not:

Harass or bully other members.

Post abusive or offensive content.

Spam or excessively self-promote.

Share copyrighted course materials.

Attempt to sell unauthorized products or services inside the community.

We reserve the right to remove any member from the community at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

Removal from the community does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

10. Feedback & User Submissions

If you voluntarily submit ideas, suggestions, testimonials, reviews, comments, feature requests, or other feedback regarding Segment Academy or Beyond the Plate, you grant Segment Global LLC a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display such feedback without compensation.

This does not affect ownership of your original CAD models, segmented projects, or other creative work, which remain your property.

11. Course Updates

We continually improve our courses.

Segment Global LLC reserves the right to:

Update lessons.

Add new resources.

Improve downloads.

Modify demonstrations.

Correct errors.

Remove outdated material.

Although we strive to improve our educational content, we are not obligated to provide future additions or maintain every lesson indefinitely.

12. Educational Purposes Only

Beyond the Plate is intended solely for educational purposes.

Nothing contained in this course constitutes engineering, manufacturing, architectural, legal, or professional advice.

Students are solely responsible for evaluating whether any designs they create are appropriate for their intended use.

The Company makes no guarantees regarding the structural performance, safety, durability, or suitability of any object designed or printed using techniques taught within the course.

13. Safety Disclaimer

3D printing involves heated components, moving machinery, cutting tools, adhesives, paints, and other materials that can present safety risks if used improperly.

You acknowledge that all printing, assembly, finishing, and post-processing activities are performed entirely at your own risk.

Segment Global LLC shall not be responsible for:

Printer damage

Material failures

Personal injury

Property damage

Fire

Product failures

Misuse of printed objects

Injuries caused by assembled projects

You are solely responsible for safely operating your equipment and ensuring any objects you create are appropriate for their intended use.

14. Lifetime Access

Unless otherwise stated, your purchase includes lifetime access to Beyond the Plate.

"Lifetime access" refers to the lifetime of the course on the Segment Academy platform, not your lifetime or the perpetual operation of the Company.

Segment Global LLC reserves the right to discontinue, suspend, modify, or replace any course, digital product, website, or community at any time.

If Beyond the Plate is permanently discontinued, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice and, where practical, allow students to download available course resources before access ends.

Future lessons, updates, bonuses, templates, and additional content are offered at our sole discretion and are not guaranteed.

15. Third-Party Software & Services

Beyond the Plate may demonstrate or recommend third-party software and services, including but not limited to CAD software, slicers, 3D printer firmware, cloud services, plugins, or other applications.

Examples may include Autodesk Fusion, Blender, OrcaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Cura, PrusaSlicer, and similar software.

Segment Global LLC is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies unless expressly stated.

You are solely responsible for obtaining and complying with the appropriate licenses, subscriptions, and terms of use required by any third-party software you choose to use.

We are not responsible for changes in pricing, licensing, features, compatibility, or availability of any third-party products or services.

16. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable efforts to protect your information and maintain the security of our systems.

However, no website, online platform, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

By using the Site, you acknowledge that you provide information at your own risk and that Segment Global LLC cannot guarantee absolute security against unauthorized access, hacking, or data breaches.

Your use of Segment Academy is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

19. Chargebacks

If you experience an issue with your purchase, we ask that you contact our support team before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

Most issues can be resolved quickly through customer support.

Submitting a fraudulent or unwarranted chargeback may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your access to Beyond the Plate, Segment Academy, and any associated communities or digital products.

Segment Global LLC reserves the right to dispute any chargeback it believes to be invalid.

20. Disclaimer of Warranties

All courses, products, downloads, and services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

Segment Global LLC makes no warranties or representations regarding:

  • Continuous availability of the Site.

  • Compatibility with your equipment.

  • The success of any project.

  • Any particular educational or financial outcome.

We expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

21. Limitation of Liability

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Segment Global LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of:

  • Your violation of applicable law.

  • Your infringement of another person's rights.

  • Any products or projects you design, manufacture, assemble, sell, or distribute using skills learned through Beyond the Plate.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of Segment Academy shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located within the State of Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

26. Changes to These Terms

Segment Global LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Any updates will become effective immediately upon being posted on the Site unless otherwise stated.

Your continued use of Segment Academy after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
